If you don't know who Nancy Grace is by now, you must have been in a coma for the past few years. Nancy Grace hosts Headline News' trash murder gossip program, "Nancy Grace", on Headline Prime. When it comes to being accurate, Nancy Grace evidently believes she knows all, and when she speaks, her guests must immediately be silent on the topic.
A cable TV talk-show host and former prosecutor, she may be too familiar with dismissing people, and seems to have forgotten how to do research to get at the truth of an issue. Her actions as a prosecutor were, at times, less than upright, according to a federal appeals panel. She can be a raging b!tch with her guests and interrupts constantly with the 'Woah woah woah! Back the blah truck up a moment! It is frightening to me that a NATIONALLY telecast "news" program could be so misinformed and unfactual. Absolutely the epitome of yellow journalism at it's best!
Nancy Grace's victims now extend beyond her viewers. Now her guests are suicidally inclined too. Hours after being interviewed by nancy, a distraught woman whose son was missing committed suicide. There is a serious difference between investigative reporting and the interrogation she put that woman through. The family of Melinda Duckett, who killed herself the day after being "aggressively questioned" (to put it politely) by Nancy Grace on her cable tv show has sued her.
Now another person has nearly died after months of sensationalised media coverage and interference, much of it baseless slanderous and abusive. The latest victim of all this, George Anthony, rescued by local police during a suicide attempt .
To refer to Nancy Grace as a "journalist" is to denigrate the profession. Her questioning of guests is sensational and irresponsible. While many of her viewers are able to look beyond her Southern drawl, tendancy to nag, and obsession with sex crimes against children, during an interview with Elizabeth Smart, Grace's guest was under serious fire. Elizabeth Smart appeared on the show to discuss her role in supporting a national sex offender registry bill, which (no thanks to Grace) has since passed through congress. And what does Nancy Grace ask her about? How did she see through her burkha? Basically Elizabeth laughs in her face, scolds Grace for trying to exploit her, and refuses to go on discussing the details of her kidnapping.
It surprises me, given her scandalous record, that Ms Grace can still find any guests willing to subject themselves to her particular brand of absolute abuse.
While there are a plethora of websites advocating the firing of Nancy Grace (firenancygrace...) , if CNN were to fire Nancy Grace, some other sleaze merchant would have her back under contract and in syndication within minutes. Legal processes must be brought to bear which prevent Nancy Grace from ever being in a position to profit from or cause death or harm to another living soul, guilty, innocent, or otherwise. Nancy Grace should not be permitted to profit from the suffering inflicted on victims of her program, or from the daily abuse heaped on their families!
To this end, there are several petitions currently running online in an attempt to secure enough signatures to have the FCC step in and take punitive action against CNN/HLN and Nancy Grace..

Nancy Grace's malicious interference in this case, and the resulting suicide of Melinda Duckett, have brought the investigation into Trenton Duckett's disappearance to a standstill. If not for NG's egregious meddling, this matter might have been resolved in the first few weeks. Trenton's father and grandparents will now have to suffer through a lifetime of uncertainty, never knowing if he's alive or not, never knowing if he could have been rescued and returned to them safely, while Nancy Grace smugly gloats over another personal "prosecution win" without a care for the family.
